The symptoms of menopause
The symptoms of menopause vary widely between individuals. Some women barely notice the menopause at all, while others suffer debilitating symptoms that have a profound effect on their relationships, health and ability to work.
Many women experience some or all of the following symptoms
Hot flushes
Low energy
Mood swings
Anxiety
Aching joints
Sleep problems
Urinary issues
Reduce libido
Our personalised hormone replacement therapy treatment programmes address all these issues and make you feel like yourself again.
Hormone Replacement Therapy at the Menopause Clinic?
We offer treatment with plant-based bio-identical hormones.
These hormones contain plant oestrogen extracted from soya and yams. Bio-identical hormones have the same chemical and molecular structure as the naturally occurring hormones produced in the body, making them more compatible with the body’s natural chemistry than the often-used synthetic hormones. This compatibility optimises benefits and minimises side effects.
We use compounded bio-identical hormone therapy, which is produced in a compounding pharmacy. This allows us to fine-tune the active hormone levels and dosage to your specific requirements in a personalised treatment plan.
All our treatments are manufactured according to the General Pharmaceutical Council’s regulations.
A 45-minute menopause consultation to change your life
Your first step towards freedom from debilitating menopause symptoms is a 45-minute consultation with Deborah Vines, our bio-identical hormone specialist.
Your consultation will involve a complete medical history and discussion of the menopausal symptoms that you are experiencing. We will also take a blood sample to measure your hormone levels.
It will take 48 hours for the results of your blood test to come through, and we will then schedule another appointment to discuss your personalised treatment plan and prescription.
Remote menopause consultations
We are flexible and can offer telephone appointments for clients who are unable to attend our clinic in person. We can send a blood test kit to your home for you to collect your blood sample.
How long will it take to receive my hormone treatment after my initial appointment?
You won’t need to wait long before starting your hormone replacement therapy treatment.
We will send your prescription directly to the pharmacy. You will be contacted as soon as it is ready, which should be in a matter of days.
Follow-up appointments to check your progress
You will have a follow-up telephone conversation with our hormone specialist six weeks after you start taking your bio-identical hormone therapy. If necessary, your treatment can be adjusted to ensure the best possible results.
We will continue to support you in your menopause journey with telephone appointments every six months and regular blood tests to check your hormonal status.
