With a five-star rating on Google, the Menopause Clinic is the leading option for anyone seeking a menopause clinic in Lancashire.
We are local – based in Bury, we are experts, providing tailored bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and we are empathetic. Our sole focus is on helping women in the menopause and earlier perimenopause.
Other clinics offer HRT, and there is even a move promoting over the counter treatments. Instead, we listen to you as an individual and provide BHRT, this the blend of hormones that the body accepts far more readily. They have the greatest impact in helping make menopause manageable.
At the Menopause Clinic, the hormone package is prescribed by Deborah Vines, a trained expert in these treatments.
For this fully bespoke treatment, whether for menopause or perimenopause, you need only visit the clinic once per year – adn it is easily accessible from all parts of Lancashire whether you are driving or coming by public transport.
Our full process for matching you with the BHRT treatments that can have a profound impact on your life is described below.
Suitability for Menopause Hormone Treatments in Lancashire
Broadly speaking, those experiencing menopause or perimenopause, and at any stage, is suitable for our treatment.
There is no need to wait for suffering to get bad, as soon as anyone experiences what they believe to be the first symptoms it can be worth having an assessment. Why wait to suffer more, when carefully prescribed BHRT treatments could do so much to stop the menopause ever having the impact it otherwise might.
Equally, many clients have been going through menopause for a period of time – it is not too late to start treatment, the hormones will still do so much to reduce the impact.
And the impact of hormones depletion can be profound – there can be memory loss, loss of libido, headaches and many more negative symptoms.
The Hormones We Provide in BHRT Treatment
Our hormones are based on a substance known as ‘Diosgenin’ and made from natural plant oestrogen.
We help to rectify any reduction in oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone. Oestrogen levels can be almost entirely depleted by the age of 40, while progesterone can also be very low and testosterone at around half its level of earlier life.
Delivered as creams, lozenges and capsules, our hormones are carefully balanced to your specific needs.
After all, everyone who sees us is an individual – you cannot group clients together based on age or other criteria as everyone experiences their own menopause.
This is why the move to make over the counter treatments, without any analysis is perhaps a worry – these will not be tailored to anyone as an individual, and so the hormone blend might not have the positive impact hoped for.
Our Four-Step BHRT Treatment Process
The four stages to your personalised Biochemical Hormone Replacement Therapy package are:
- Contact the Menopause Clinic to arrange a consultation with BHRT treatment specialist Deborah Vines.
- A consultation of around 45-minutes will be held, this will also look into your medical history. At this consultation, a blood sample will be taken and sent away for analysis to assess your current hormone levels.
- Test results are returned – often inside two days – and we would then call you to discuss the results and also outline our suggested treatment plan and prescription.
- The prescription will be sent to your Lancashire pharmacy, who will post you the medication. Next day delivery is possible.
Six weeks later, we would phone you to discuss how you are feeling – in some rare cases we would then tweak the prescription a little to maximise beneficial impact.
A second prescription is then sent to the pharmacy, this covering the next four-month period.
At the six-month stage, a phone consultation is held with Deborah Vines, this is another chance to discuss how you are feeling and for us to assess the positive impact of the BHRT treatment.
Two more repeat prescriptions are then possible, these would last up to six months and so the whole process covers a year’s worth of treatment.
At this stage, the whole process would repeat as a face-to-face prescription must be held at least once a year.
