Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy North West

For those in the north west, bespoke, fully tailored bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is available through Deborah Vines and the specialist Menopause Clinic.

Deborah is a trained expert in the field of BHRT treatments. Through her understanding and by utilising leading laboratory analysis of your current hormone levels, the perfect blend of bioidentical hormones can be created to minimise the impact of this stage of life.

Whether it is for the full menopause or earlier perimenopause stage, the hormones will tackle the many symptoms that are common – for instance loss of energy and libido, mood swings and more.

Across the northwest, our clinic has helped many hundreds of women – the process is straightforward, with only one visit required per year to our clinic.

At the consultation, you will be treated as an individual. While there may be commonalities between many women who are experiencing menopause, it is also true that everyone is unique. Everyone has a different requirement for hormone replacement.

The perfect blend for you is achieved through sophisticated laboratory analysis of your hormones, this analysis turned into a prescription by Deborah and her team. At the consultation, a small sample of blood will be taken painlessly, this is then sent for expedited analysis – results typically back inside just a couple of days.

Your hormones are then delivered either to a local pharmacy of your choosing, or they can even be delivered to your door.

After this, there will be check-up appointments with Deborah via phone or Zoom, and then, after a year, a new sample is taken.

This annual follow-up is important as, naturally, your hormone balance will change over time, thus we need to ensure a new blend is made that is still perfectly matched to your needs.

Benefits of BHRT

Both the menopause and perimenopause have a dramatic impact on women, the symptoms can include tiredness, loss of libido, stress and many other factors too.

This may be a natural part of life, but that isn’t to say anyone should simply suffer in silence, especially when so many of the negative consequences can be rectified through use of BHRT.

Bioidentical hormone replacement does as the name implies, it helps to replace the hormones that are depleted, or disappear entirely during menopause.

Hormone replacement is not new, but BHRT takes it a large step further, using hormones that are perfectly in tune with your body, the hormones it would produce naturally, rather than using synthetic approximations. This ensures the body accepts them more readily and that they have a more positive impact.

The BHRT hormones might be compared to eating fruit and vegetables compared to taking a vitamin pill – for all the value of vitamin supplements, they do not work as well as simply eating a healthy diet.

BHRT is that balanced diet, the hormones you need in a natural format.

We most commonly see women who are experiencing the full menopause, but these treatments can be of great benefit as soon as you get the first signs of perimenopause – why wait for things to get ‘bad’? Furthermore, by tackling hormone deficiency early, you build an ongoing relationship whereby you continually get hormones suited to your needs throughout the entirety of this stage of your life.

The hormones address the depletion in key hormones such as oestrogen, which can be almost completely gone into a person’s forties, while other hormones are also greatly diminished.

BHRT Replacement Process

For those living in or around the north west, the process of undergoing BHRT is straightforward.

  1. Contact the Menopause Clinic to arrange a consultation with Deborah Vines, an expert in these treatments.
  2. You would then make the short journey to our clinic in Heywood, just down the motorway, to have an open and honest discussion about the impact menopause is having. A blood sample would also be taken, this then sent away for analysis at a specialist lab.
  3. We receive the results back and contact you to talk through the results and our suggested BHRT plan. Assuming this is agreed, we create the bespoke blend of hormones matched to your needs.
  4. The prescription is sent to a pharmacy of your choice – the hormones can also be delivered directly to you.

We would also hold follow-up conversations with you to ensure the hormones are having the expected impact; in some cases minor tweaks can be made to further enhance results.

After a year, the process is repeated.

The Hormones in our BHRT Treatments

The hormones in BHRT treatments are created from natural plant oestrogen and are based in a wonderful substance called Diosgenin.

We create bespoke BHRT treatments that are based on you and your body, not on a generalised example of someone of your age. This ensures the hormones work precisely with your body.

The BHRT treatments we provide are easily taken, coming in creams, lozenges and capsules.
